The Star SP700 impact printer is the latest addition to Star Micronics' robust line of printers. Built specifically to work in environments where heat and humidity can erode the type on the kitchen order, the SP700 is an ideal solution as it uses ink instead of thermal technology, which protects your paper and makes it ideal for steamy, hot and damp environments, such as restaurant kitchens.

It has an ink speed of up to 8.9 lines per second, a unique design for easy paper loading and compact vertical or horizontal printing. This printer is splash resistant and has an easy-clean design, along with advanced options such as two colour printing.

Featuring drop in and print easy loading paper along with a full auto cutter, a buzzer option that alerts kitchen staff to incoming orders to ensure they never get missed, plus a space-saving small footprint.

This fast, two-colour printer offers crisp, easy to read type for quick viewing, clamshell design for easy paper loading and an embedded power supply for space efficiency.The SP700 was designed to make installation, utilisation and maintenance as easy as possible for any user. The SP700 is ready to be used right out-of-the-box. A CD with WHQL XP, 2K, Vista drivers, Linux and Mac OSX drivers and documentation is included with the printer, making it ready for operation immediately after purchase.
